Mom’s Summer Survival Wordsearch Book
Because sometimes, surviving summer takes more than sunscreen and snacks.
This one’s personal.
Like, deep-breath-in-the-linen-closet kind of personal.
I’ve officially started working on a brand-new wordsearch book:
Mom’s Summer Survival Wordsearch Book.
And yes — the title says it all.
This isn’t just another low-content project. This one is for me… and for every other mom out there who’s balancing popsicles, meltdowns, sunscreen battles, and “Moooom, he touched me!” with a smile that’s maybe just a little too tight. 🙃
Where the idea came from:
Honestly? Somewhere between Jimmy waking me up before 4:30 AM and me reheating my coffee for the second time. Summer’s here (or very nearly), and as much as I love the sunshine and slower mornings… let’s be real. It’s also chaos, noise, and routines out the window.
So I thought — why not create something fun, relatable, and maybe just a tiny bit therapeutic?
Puzzle ideas from the heart:
I’m building this book around the summer I wish I was having…
…and the one I actually will.
Some puzzle titles I’ve jotted down already:
- A Day at the Beach
- Playground Bliss
- Morning Madness
- Swings, Slides & Look at Me!
- Sandcastles & Mermaid Tails
Yes, I’m going to try and include a few poolside drinks (despite not being a drinker) — a little summer glam for those who enjoy it. That’ll be a ChatGPT request moment for sure. 🍹
I may also add:
- Summer jokes
- Fascinating facts
- A few simple coloring pages to break things up
Because let’s be honest — anything that gives moms a chance to sit down for five minutes counts as self-care.
Tools I’ll be using:
- Cloudorka apps — absolute lifesaver for building the actual puzzles
- BookBolt — where I’ll lay it all out and build the interior
- Me, myself, and maybe a snack — because I can’t work hungry
Covers are always my sticking point. I’ll likely be back to Chatgpt asking for ideas to help make it eye-catching without being too cliché.
And if this one goes well?
I’m thinking follow-up editions for:
- The Kids — full of silly summer fun and boredom busters
- Dad’s Survival Book — because he deserves a laugh too
That’s the plan… or at least the backup to the backup.
You know how I roll.
Until then — I’m off to wrangle words, puzzle grids, and one very awake six-year-old.
